Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. Can I buy a Voucher for myself or are they only available as gifts?

You can buy one for yourself or as a gift for someone else. When you buy one as a gift you can decide whether you want us to email the Voucher to you or directly to your gift recipient on your behalf.

If you choose to have us send it directly to someone else, you can type in a gift message while checking out. This gift message will be included in the email we send to your gift recipient.

  2. Can anybody buy one?

The buyer and the registered owner must both be 18 or older. No exceptions.

  3. Which tickets are eligible for redemption / Or not eligible?

Qualifying Traffic Citations: If your Voucher states that it is for speeding tickets, then it is redeemable for speeding tickets only. Some Vouchers are redeemable for any type of "moving" violation, including tickets for speeding, failing to fully stop at a stop sign, going through a red light, improper turns, improper passing, and other violations commonly known as "moving" violations.

In both cases, Traffic Citations that do not qualify for redemption are Citations for what are commonly known as "non-moving" violations, such as:

    • parking tickets
    • lack of valid insurance, lack of valid vehicle registration
    • unsafe equipment
    • not wearing a motorcycle helmet
    • and others in the non-moving violation category.

***** Vouchers are not redeemable for any citations for which the Voucher owner is charged with a criminal act, such as drinking and driving *****

  4. How are Vouchers delivered?

They are emailed as pdf file attachments. These files can be opened with the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is already installed on most computers. If you need to install it, the software is free and can be downloaded at: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

You can save the Voucher on any computer you wish, or print it on any printer. (Color or black and white).

  5. I have a Voucher in hand, but it's marked "Not Yet Activated." What do I do next?

This Voucher is not yet valid, meaning simply that it has not yet been paid for. You can do either of the following:

    • Click the "Activate It" link on the home page. (Place link here) This will prompt you for the Serial # printed on the Voucher you have, so that you can purchase it for yourself or as a gift.
    • Click on the equivalent Voucher (or another one if you want) on the list of available Vouchers on the home page (home page link here).

  6. I had a problem with my order.
    • a.Payment problem...
My Visa or Mastercard was not accepted.
There are several possibilities, such as an error in entering the card information, or perhaps the bank that issued the card declined the transaction. If you feel we've made an error, or just want to figure out what happened, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
    • b.Email problem
I didn't get the email with the Voucher attached, or I got the email but there was no Voucher attached.
Maybe we have an incorrect email address, or the email is in your "spam" folder, maybe your email service removed the attachment for security reasons. First, check your spam folder, and if you need help, please contact us.
    • c.I received the email with the voucher, but can't open it
The Voucher is in the "PDF" file format, which requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader to open it. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed already, the software is free and can be downloaded at: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

  7. How do I buy Vouchers for more than one person? I don't see any way to add other gift recipients during the checkout.

Currently the website is set up to purchase one Voucher at a time. We will be expanding its capabilities in the near future so you can purchase multiple vouchers for multiple gift recipients in one order. Sorry about that!.. but stay tuned - we're working on it.

  8. I bought a Voucher for someone else, but didn't have all their info when I was ordering - is that a problem?

Each voucher is "registered" to a specific Voucher owner, and that is the only person who can redeem it when he or she gets a qualifying traffic ticket.

In addition to the name, address, and email of the owner, in order to complete the registration, we also need:

    • Driver's license #
    • Expiration date
    • Issuing state or province

You can complete the order without this driver's license information, but we will need to receive it soon thereafter, and definitely before a Voucher can be redeemed.

  9. I changed my mind after I bought a Voucher. Can I get a refund?

You can get a full refund within 45 days of your order. See Refund Policy for full details.

  10. I got a traffic ticket... Now what do I do?

Hopefully you were not involved in an accident and everyone is safe and sound - that's the most important thing!

We will need information on the citation so we can process your redemption request. Login to your account for the Redemption Request page.

  11. Why do I have to provide a drivers license #?

The Voucher owner must have a valid drivers license. No exceptions.

  12. Can I sell or give my voucher to someone else?

Each Voucher is registered in the name of one person. It is not transferable, so it cannot be sold or given to someone else.
